Google Sites - Website Link

Use the link below (copy and paste) or click on the link in the toolbar on the right side of the page to head to my class website!

This website was made specifically for the English Language Arts (ELA) classes I teach. Because our time is short, and we do so much, I figured it would be nice to create a website that would allow students to review what was done in class, catch up if they missed something, and just to explore language arts topics further.

I broke down the website into various pages, all of which are based on the activities we work through on a daily basis. You will notice that I only completed the "Homepage" and the "ELA Starters" pages. However, I would work to make the other pages very similar to the two showcased. I tried to include a section that could can update quickly on a weekly basis (so I dont have to update everyday and updating doesnt take me forever as all teachers are already super busy) as well as links to other websites and helpful documents.

I hope you enjoy the website and I think I will continue to work on this page for my students to use this year. Our district provides access to webpage space, but I definitely like the ease of use Google Sites provides, and some of the formatting options that are available through google and not through the basic service provided by the district.

I would love comments and suggestions if you have them! Let me know what you think!

That is a really good idea for a website. We always need something for students to do to maintain the skills that have been taught. Most students have access to a computer and most parents have email so this could easily be used by both students and parents. And because it is a website students cannot say that they lost their homework.

I have an ideas for up-dating the homework page. I have a student that writes the homework on the board...I will probably have that student enter the homework into the website and I will write it on the board. I let you know if it works.
